Form : Evergreen broad-leaved shrub
Characteristic : The leaves are out of line and spear-shaped or reversed-spear-shaped. The height is 8~20cm and the width is 2~4cm. The surface of the leaf is blue-green and the back side is white-green. It has no hair on both sides and has no teeth. Its feather-shaped vein on the back side is 12 pairs. The fruit is conglobation and its diameter is 1cm. It is black-green and ripens in september of the next year. The blossom is androgyne and hung on conical catkin. It is light yellow-green and comes into flower in May. The height of the stem reaches 10m. The small branches are gray-green and has no hair. Place of origin is Korea. It also reseeds in Japan or south islands like Geoje island and Jeju island.


Where you can see this species at Dongbaekdongsan :
In Dongbaekdongsan, it can be seen in the inside of the forest or around the esplanade. The tall one is not seen but it can be usually seen like frutex. The leaf is lond and thin. The edge of it is cymoid. The vein of the middle is clear.
